What you get

A structured statement built from your own facts

  1. Introduction and the parties
  2. Summary of your complaint
  3. Time limit and referral route
  4. Background to your job and pay
  5. Chronology in date order
  6. The employer's reason and procedure
  7. Your case on each complaint
  8. Evidence you rely on
  9. Loss and redress, with the sums worked out
  10. Conclusion and signature block
How it works: the law references, the dates and the arithmetic are put in by the tool from what you enter. A short summary and one short account per complaint are written from your facts only. The statement does not cite case law and nothing is invented: if you leave something out, it is left out. It is a drafting aid, not legal advice, and you check every line before you send it.

Tell us what happened

1. The complaint

Which complaint or complaints are you making? Choose up to three.

2. You and your employer

3. Your job and pay

4. What happened, in date order

At least two events. One fact per row, in your own words, for example a meeting, a letter, a payslip, a conversation. Use plain facts: who, what, when.

5. What your employer said

6. Your evidence

7. Loss and what you are asking for

We work out the loss for you from these figures. For an unfair dismissal the law limits compensation for financial loss to 104 weeks' pay; the statement shows that limit.

Questions

Before you start

Is this legal advice? +
No. It is a drafting aid that puts your own facts, dates and figures into a standard structure. We are not solicitors and cannot guarantee an outcome. If your case is complex, or the amount at stake is large, ask a solicitor, your trade union, FLAC or Citizens Information to look at it.
Does it cite case law? +
No. The WRC's guidance on AI says invented citations are given little or no weight, so the statement cites only the Act you complain under and, for unfair dismissal, the two sections on what makes a dismissal unfair and what redress the adjudication officer can award. Add authorities only if you have checked them yourself.
When is the statement due? +
The WRC procedures ask each side to send a written statement of their case at least 15 working days before the hearing. Your hearing notice sets the exact deadline, so follow that.
What is the difference from the €9.99 complaint letter? +
The complaint letter is a short cover letter that goes with your complaint form. The statement of case is the longer document for the hearing: chronology, evidence, loss calculation and the redress you want.
What do you keep? +
Your answers are held for up to 24 hours so we can deliver your statement after payment, then deleted. We do not keep a copy of the statement, so save the PDF.
